Abstract

Background. Acute paraproctitis of cryptogenic genesis is a well–studied and widely sanctified problem in the literature. The purpose of the study is to demonstrate a clinical case of suppuration of pararectal fiber and soft tissues of adjacent anatomical areas of non-cryptogenic etiology Materials and methods. A clinical case of acute paraproctitis of non-cryptogenic etiology is presented. Regardless of the etiology of the inflammatory process, the treatment of patients with acute paraproctitis is a complex and time-consuming process that requires a lot of experience from a coloproctologist and, sometimes, great patience from the patient himself. The high prevalence of the purulent process required an emergency operation using the principles of purulent surgery. Conclusions. The conducted clinical observation suggests that non-cryptogenic causes of suppuration of pararectal fiber are currently quite relevant and require special attention. Strict adherence to the principles of management of patients with soft tissue phlegmon made it possible to achieve a satisfactory result in the treatment of a patient with acute paraproctitis of non-cryptogenic etiology.
